    You only ever pay your excess when you avail the service and want to send your phone into us for the screen to be repaired/replaced.

    The IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identification) number of your mobile phone is a unique identification code that is precise to your smartphone. If you change your smartphone, it is important that you update your ‘My Account’ section with the correct details so we can make sure we have the right screen obtainable when you avail our service.

    Android users:

    To find your phone’s IMEI number if you have an Android device is to simply dial *#06# on the keypad.

    Your serial number will be displayed on the screen.

    Alternatively, you should be able to find it under Settings > About phone > Status > IMEI information.

    you can take a screenshot on most Android smartphones by holding down the volume down whilst also holding the power buttons for 2 seconds. The screenshot will then be in your gallery or photo app.

    For iOS (Apple iPhone) users:

    To find your phone’s IMEI number if you have an Android device is to simply dial *#06# on the keypad.

    Your serial number will be displayed on the screen.

    Alternatively, you can find the IMEI number by going to Settings > General > About.

    You can take a screenshot of the number by holding down the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time until you see the screen flash quickly.

    As long as you have the protection plan with us, you can claim through the online my account section an unlimited amount of times and we’ll fix your phone screen only.

    We only cover you for the main part of your phone, the screen. We do not cover any other part of the phone or theft and lost. Phones are absolutely robust in their external and internal mechanics. The hardware and software have advanced more and more as the years have gone by.

    The most damage to your phone is brought about by damage to your screen. If your screen is compromised then so will the rest of your phone. It doesn’t take long for the majority of your phone to stop functioning, whether you’re unable to see what’s on your phone when looking through the broken screen or whether it’s the rain that’s trickled through the crack and stopped your phone from working.

    With our monthly service cover, we’ll replace the screen asap, and that’s exactly what our Protection plan offers you.

    Yes, regardless of whether your phone has been bought here or abroad we cover your screen. If your smartphone on the list, you’re protected by our protection plan.

    Immediately. However, to make a claim you have to go through the cooling off period of 30 days from the price of purchase for your plan.

    We know living without a phone is like living without air. Which is why we fix it asap. Once you’ve made the claim from your account page, you book in a collection with our courier, we will pick it up and return your device to our labs where we will aim to fix the same day we receive it. We then aim to send it out the same day and have it with you via next day delivery.

    Yes! you can buy the monthly protection plan even if your phone is damaged. We’ll fix it for you once you’re a customer for 30 days and make sure you’re covered for the rest of the contract to make sure your screen is protected for the future of the contract.

    The monthly protection plans only cover the repair or replacement of the most vulnerable part of the phone, the screen itself only.

    Everything else in regards to the phone is not covered.

    YES! We never tie your protection plan down to just one phone, unlike many other companies, you can make unlimited changes to the registered phone. just log on to your account and make changes to the make, model, and IMEI of the phone you want covered.

    Just remember when you make the claim, it will be for the registered phone at that time on your account, so make sure you keep your details updated, especially if you change to using another phone as your daily driver.

    Claims

    Our claims process is as easy as A, B, C

    1. Log on to your Tech Rescued account.
    2. Click on the “my orders” section.
    3. On your plan click “view”.
    4. Scroll down, pick the correct phone you are claiming on and Click the “claim” button.
    5. Go through the mandatory information which will just confirm your information, make sure this is all correct and continue to excess payment.
    6. Choose the date of collection from our courier to pick up your device from your location.
    7. Make sure your phone is backed up whether on the cloud or any other storage device such as a laptop or desktop. You then need to REMOVE your iCloud, Samsung account or any other accounts from your device. And lastly factory reset your device for us to protect your data and comply with Data protection laws.
    8. YOU MUST make sure you securely package your phone with thorough protection to avoid any further damage to the device whilst in transit to us.
    9. We’ll then receive your phone the next day, fix it on the same day and send it back to you on that day. we aim to have your phone back with you between 24-72 hours.

    No. we understand that receipts can be lost or hard to keep a track of. We only need to know the make, model and IMEI of your phone. just make sure the correct registered phone under your monthly protection plan is on your ‘my account’ section.

    No claims approval needed. Unlike other companies and insurance providers we do not need any claim approval. This is because we want to limit the time it takes in getting your phone fixed and back to its best health.

    once you have gone through the claim process via your account, it will automatically send you email confirmation of your claim. you’ll be able to ship the phone to us when you choose the date of collection from our courier at the end of the claim process, we’ll fix it asap and send it back to you. We aim to get the phone back to you within 24-72 hours!

    Yes.

    Due to data protection we will not be able to leave your information on your phone whilst it is under our care.

    You must make sure you back up all of your data onto your iCloud, laptop or any other device.

    If you do not factory reset your phone before you send it to us (which removes your iCloud/Samsung or other accounts) we will not be able to quality test the full functionality of the new screen.

    Yes.

    You must make sure you have backed up your phone and all your data on to any ideal location. We must protect your data under strict data protection laws.

    You must back up your data first and then remove your account before you send it to us. Firstly, we do this to protect your data; secondly This for us to make sure we can fully test the functionality of your phone before we send it back to you

    Removing your iCloud account using your device

    1. Select ‘Settings’ and tap ‘iCloud’.
    2. Click on your name.
    3. Click on ‘iCloud’.
    4. Scroll down and click ‘Find My iPhone’.
    5. Turn Find My iPhone off.
    6. Enter your Apple ID password.

    Removing your iCloud account remotely using your PC or laptop

    1. Switch off your device.
    2. Log into iCloud.com using your Apple ID.
    3. Click ‘Find my iPhone’.
    4. Select your device from the ‘All Devices’ drop-down menu.
    5. Click ‘Remove from Account’.
    6. Click ‘Remove’ on the confirmation message.

    Removing your Samsung account using your device

    1. Tap the ‘Apps’ icon.
    2. Open ‘Settings’.
    3. Select ‘Accounts’.
    4. Select ‘Samsung Account’.
    5. Select your email address.
    6. Tap ‘more’ in the top right corner and select ‘Remove Account’.
    7. Tap ‘Remove Account’.
    8. Enter your password and confirm.
    9. Select ‘Remove Account’.
    10. Your Samsung Account will now be removed.

    Removing your Samsung account using your PC or laptop

    1. Go to ‘https://account.samsung.com’
    2. Sign into your account.
    3. Click ‘Find My Mobile’.
    4. Enter your password and click Sign In.
    5. Click ‘Registered Devices’ and select your device.
    6. Click the trash bin icon and accept the disclaimer.
    7. Your phone will be deleted from your account.

    FOR ALL other phones, please refer to the phone manufacturers website and follow the steps on removing your account

    Alternatively:

    1. Log on to this website https://www.hardreset.info/devices/

    2. Find your phone make and model and follow the instructions.

    You can go through the claim process via your account any time 24/7.

    Payments & Cancellations

    The protection plan you purchased at the beginning will be the monthly price you pay each month. This will not change throughout the protection term. You can cancel any time as long as you haven’t made a claim. If you have made a claim, you will be tied to a 12-month contract starting from the date you originally purchased the plan.

    Yes, the price for the protection plans can be paid annually at the checkout and will be a 12-month contract.

    Your excess is determined by 2 factors, what plan you have and what phone you have. To see the price for all the claims, please visit the excess page and view the excess matrix.

    If you would like to cancel your policy please contact us via email contact@techrescued.com stating your full name and address, phone make, model and IMEI. You must allow 30 days from the time of approval for the policy to be cancelled, once this is done, we’ll cancel your policy effective immediately.

    If you haven’t claimed within the length of your contract You can cancel anytime.

    If you have claimed within the length of your contract you can NOT cancel, this is because the cost to us for your repair/replacement has not been paid back. As such, your 12-month term starts from the date you purchased the plan, not the date you claimed.

    No. You may not cancel your subscription/agreement if you have claimed. This is because the cost to us for your repair/replacement has not been paid back.

    However, you can pay off your policy, you just email in to contact@techrescued.com and we will inform you of the remaining balance, that must be paid off. Once this is done, your policy will be cancelled effective immediately.

    Yes. If you haven’t claimed within the length of your contract You can cancel anytime.

    If you would like to cancel your policy please contact us via email contact@techrescued.com stating your full name and address. You must allow 30 days from the time of approval for the agreement to be cancelled, once this is done, we’ll cancel your policy effective immediately.

    By law, you have 14 days in which to change your mind and receive a full refund.

    To amend your personal details, please log on to the “My Account” section and change your details.
